The menu and service were beyond my expectations. I truly liked the atmosphere of this spot. Amazing place to take the family out for dinner.

This is my first time here, and let me tell you the food is extremely good, I eat that salmon in plum sauce, it was really great. Tender and then came the goat. It is authentic Caribbean food. Next time you are in Aberdeen area, this is is a must place to go if you are looking for outstanding food .

First of all, Ray is a great person. I've been here multiple times know, and I love this place. The atmosphere and food is out of this world. The flavors of the curry is awesome.

Great place for lunch. Several different recipes to choose from. The price is very affordable compare to other restaurants in the area. Friendly people and good service.

Very disappointed. I ordered oxtails white rice cabbage, dumplin and plantins. I gave one star because the plantins are excellent. The oxtail with gravy was beyond disgusting. Every spoon full had a allspice seed. I pulled out 19 from my plate. I couldn't enjoy the oxtail as the allspice taste overpowered everything. The rice was parboiled rice and was not hot. Even the dumplin tasted allspice as i had gravy on it. I ordered 3 plates and i feel like wasted my money.

Food was good and the portion size was big. Worth every penny

This restaurant is awesome! The customer service was Superb, the space is nice & clean; it's a great location right off route 40. The food is Amazing! Clean bathrooms and has parking. Go, enjoy your food and tell me Sony sent ya!

The best Caribbean food I’ve had so far in MD. My favorite was The Jerk Pit, but this place might be my new favorite spot. I wish they were located closer to me. It was definitely worth the commute. Service was great and food was so delicious!

Hands down the best Caribbean food around!!! Ray puts love into his food, as it seems more of a craft or art as opposed to just a food business! Wonderful service and passionate good people here. The Ackee and Saltfish is wonderful, as well as the Oxtails!!!

I came for the jerk chicken and I got the heat! Service was great, except for the slap in the face I got from that spicy, delicious jerk chicken dinner. It's the real deal at Ray's!

Ray's Caribbean is the best Caribbean restaurant I've been to in Harford Couty. The food has so much flavor and is really delicious. My family is Jamaican and every time I eat at Ray's its like I'm eating at home. The Curry Chicken and Goat is delicious. The Roti is out of this world. And the Ackee and Salt fish is my absolute favorite. I would recommend this place to everyone. My husband is from St. Croix and he also thoroughly enjoys eating here.

Flavorful Caribbean cuisine with very good prices. Customer service is excellent. It's a small restaurant inside a licor store. I call this a rough gem because the place doesn't do justice to the food. *** Update on the review: Location is new and completely remodel. Bathrooms clean. Food equally delicious.

I've never had curried 🦆 before, and it was really good, but if you eat here you have to get the ginger beer! They make it in house, and it is excellent!

Was here at my friends house visiting from DE and I googled this place. From the reviews I decided to try it and lord have mercy... I had the salmon platter and the jerk chicken and when I tell you that this jerk chicken is the best chicken I have Ever tasted in my life please believe it’s the best jerk chicken I have had in my life. It’s soooo moist and you can taste the bbq grill smokiness. The salmon is the salmon steak and just be aware that it has bones in it but that was good too. Very clean and hefty platter size. You will Not be disappointed!

My wife and I tried this place when it was inside of a liquor store originally. The food was amazing then and it's even better now. The owner was handling the register and greeted us with a friendly smile and small talk that immediately made us feel comfortable. The restaurant was clean and smelled amazing from the food cooking in the kitchen. It was obvious from our conversation with the owner that he is very passionate about his restaurant and the food and service show that plainly. Will recommend this spot to anyone who's looking for delicious, authentic Caribbean food.

I felt like I was visiting family. Ray and his wife are so gracious and their recipes are amazing. If you haven't tried Caribbean food this a great place to check it out. Everything is made fresh and most of the herbs and spices are grown onsite. Rays jerk sauce is a keeper. We bought two jars. We will be back!

The food here is well prepared, very flavorful and large portions, and if you like bones in your food, you won't be disappointed. Just beware if you order the glazed salmon or the curry goat.

I was the 2nd person on line this morning. 5 people behind me. How is it they all were served and eating before me? Granted mine was a takeout. But the food is served and plated from the same area. The server tends to treat those she goes to church with a bit better. But she has no idea who I am. This is the 3rd time I have been treated indifferent and I refuse to come back. I can spend my $65. elsewhere.

Well it's not bad if you are hungry food is good, but I've had many Jamaican dishes over my life time and even though the place is clean, good service the food was not to My standard of authenticity, and if you get a chance try Island Quisine on liberty rd and you tell me the difference yourself...

Brown stew chicken and spicy Jamaican beef patties were bomb, and that’s coming from someone who lived down in South Florida! Will return.

I literally drive over 30 minutes just to get jerk chicken! Practically every meal is exceptional. And Ray is very personable. You'll definitely feel like family here.

Rays is hands down the best West Indian restaurant in the area! Friendly service and great conversation. Order ahead, if you’re going for lunch. Doubles on Saturday’s, just great!

So so delicious I went there as a quick stop and I am not disappointed in their food. Oxtails is one of the hardest Caribbean foods to get right and they hit the mark. It wasn't too greasy and they were full of flavor. The rice and peas wasn't dry in the Cabbage was lightly season exactly how I like it. They also have homemade Caribbean drinks. I purchase Sorrel from them with tasted refreshing not too sweet and not overpowered by Ginger. My husband had the fried shrimp platter and not one bit went to waste. I can't wait to go back and try some of their other dishes. I definitely suggest stopping at this place the service was friendly the food was fresh and tasted authentic. My only suggestion into them is to put more advertising around because it's definitely easy to miss if you're driving down Route 40. I would have definitely stop there earlier had I known that this store has been there all this time.

As soon as I walked in there was a man working there yelling at me being rude. He said I was walking through his flowers which I was not. So disrespectful I couldn’t eat there. Terrible experience. And hypothetically even I was there was way better ways to go about it.

Ray's Caribbean has come a long way it used to be literally located in a liquor store, and now they have their own location on Route 40. they couldn't be better. it's one of the best Jamaican restaurants in the area and there are about 3 others. the service is great, the food is great, and the prices moderate. I have had visited many times and had a variety of their dishes. the jerk selections are great. last time I was there I had their fried fish special which was quite good, and they also offer salmon sometimes which also looks delicious - I have yet to try it. I really enjoyed the oxtails. Like the other reviews say the establishment is very clean and the food is delicious. I didn't dine in and there wasn't much activity but I feel that service was fast - it was definitely courteous. I'm looking forward to visiting Maryland again just so I can get more oxtail from Ray's.

Decided to try this place after work because I wanted some Curry Chicken and I’d rather get it in Harford than in the city. Everything was delicious: cabbage, plantains, rice and peas and the chicken. I also got the Mac and Cheese for my girlfriend but I ended up eating most of it. I don’t feel any shame about it either. I’ll definitely be back

Real Trinidadian & Guyanese (and yes, Jamaican too) Caribbean food down to the drinks, with homemade Mauby and Sorrel on the menu. Most importantly, they know how to make a real roti wrap.

The food is awesome texture of the is great . They have great customer skill. Please go there you can eat in or take out. Food is so good. Never going stop going there. Bring your family when things get back to normal. Your family.

I would give 5 stars, but the young lady serving me only gave me small meat portions with my entree. I ordered curry chicken, and got a small chicken leg, and tiny chicken scraps. The flavor is great, and the quality of the food is excellent.

Has a great menu the doubles and pholourie are excellent. The best tasting beef patties I've ever had in my life. Better than the ones I had in Jamaica. I got the spicy beef patty it was excellent flaky flavorful just the right amount of spice. The doubles are made to order so it's good to call ahead because there might be a wait.

Love this place. The food is great. It does get bogged down at lunch and it can take some time to place your order and get your food. So don't go if in a rush but the food is always worth the wait.
